Have fun learning to origami!

 

Suitable for ages 7+, participants will learn the essential folding techniques, tips and experience folding with different sized papers. They'll learn the folding techniques to create basic items to practice their skills before progressing on to folding their own models, including flowers, animals, decorations, seasonal items, and more. Tomomi will set a theme for each class.

 

Students will get to take all their amazing creations home.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

TOMOMI YAMAMOTO  |  ORIGAMI PERTH

 Tomomi has +15 years' experience of a teaching origami in Perth. Nippon Origami Assosiation(NOA) has qualified her as an origami instractor in 2015 and she has got more passionate about teaching origami to local people and overseas. She has been teaching and tutoring origami privately and grouply to children, teenagers, parents, teachers, retired/aged people and child care workers at local primary and senior high school. She has also lectured with WWCC for young students at the Tresillian Art Centre and demonstrated some weekend market's craft booths and many of council big events in Perth since 2005. She has a certification of children Japanese language teacher (KJLT) and has been tutoring Japanese language to local Perth children since 2015.

 

The "ORIGAMIPERTH" kids/adults origami class sometimes uses mixed languages both in English and in Japanese. Everyone always gives their greatest smile with their colourful origami creation! She believes that making origami is not just fun but also contains so many educational elements through to make an achievement.  She is mum of two kids and love cooking, gardening, music and watching ballet. She is an ambidextrous hander. 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please note that once booked, tickets are non-rufundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another paticiapant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions your workshop will be rescheduled or you will be given a 12 month credit to rebook when we reopen.

When arriving, attending and leaving the workshop, it is your responisibility to follow all safety precautions. Upon booking, you agree that you are fully responsible for your property and physical safety during the workshop. Studio Subi and your workshop teacher hold no personal liability or responsibility for any damage, loss or theft to personal property, or any physical injuries that occur during the workshop.
