ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

CONNIE TRINH | STUDIO SUBI FOUNDER & TEACHER
The face behind Studio Subi, Connie is a lover and ambassador of all things handmade.
"Craft has always been my creative outlet, my happy moments, I could spend hours with, even preferred over sleep. I’ve always wished for a dedicated space where I could leave out all my supplies at the ready. When a short-term opportunity for a dedicated space came up, I jumped for it!"
And so Studio Subi was born! A creative space for creative skills to be shared, likeminded humans to meet and have fun learning or developing their skills further. We've got so many amazing teachers, all specialised in their own craft and passionate to share their knowledge with you.
One of my favourite makes is the classic origami crane, I've easily made over 1000 several times over! I once made 200 for display in a gift shop window in Subiaco, the money raised was donated to Cancer Council of WA.

RACHEL BREWER | CROCHET BY BREWER | STUDIO SUBI TEACHER
Rachel has been crafting for as long as she can remember, but the moment she picked up a crochet hook, she was hooked. What began as curiosity with a quickly became a passion, leading her to design her own amigurumi patterns and more.
Crochet By Brewer (CBB) is home to Rachel’s handmade creations, including the much-loved Crochet Friends collection. Every design is her own, and each piece is crocheted by Rachel herself, thoughtfully made, start to finish. Alongside her creations, you’ll also find DIY Crochet Kits and beautifully designed Crochet Journals, perfect for gifting or growing your own crochet skills, available online and at markets.
CBB is proudly a 2026 Perth Upmarket Ambassador, and you’ll find Rachel inside the Hackett Cafe area at Perth Upmarket on market days.
