About this class.
Perfect for absolute beginners, you will learn basic knitting stitches and techniques and go home with the start of your very first scarf. You will continue the scarf at home to knit it to your desired length - this will provide you with plenty of opportunity to practice and refine your learned skills.

We will begin with how to hold your knitting needles and yarn, then you will learn the following basics:
+ Terminology and abbreviations
+ Reading beginner knitting patterns
+ Casting on
+ Knit stitch
+ Purl stitch
+ Working in rows
+ Beginning new rows
+ Needle sizes and selecting suitable yarns
All supplies are provided, including your own knitting needles and yarn to take home. You will also receive printed instruction sheets which includes the learnings from the class, including the scarf pattern.

Please note that once booked, tickets are non-refundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another participant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions your workshop will be rescheduled or you will be given a 12 month credit to rebook when we reopen.
