ABOUT THE CLASSES

Join us for these fun classes where you'll learn the techniques to create 3D items with the crochet method of amigurumi.
We'll work with cotton yarn that's perfect for amigurumi and especially easy for beginners to manage. We'll build on your skills learned in our Level 1 crochet class.

An understanding of basic crochet stitches and techniques is required for this workshop.

What skills are needed?
It is essential that you come to these classes already confident in single crochets with an even tight tension. With practice, everyone will get there! Be kind and patient with yourself and relax your hands and that yarn 😊
All materials and equipment supplied.
If you already have a 4mm hook, please bring that along and you can choose an alternative sized hook from our new collection to take home and add to your own collection.

Don't know how to crochet at all but keen to learn?
For those wishing to learn to crochet, please join our Learn To Crochet beginners class.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

CONNIE TRINH | STUDIO SUBI

The face behind Studio Subi, Connie is a lover and ambassador of all things handmade.
"Craft has always been my creative outlet, my happy moments, I could spend hours with, even preferred over sleep. I’ve always wished for a dedicated space where I could leave out all my supplies at the ready, but the spaces so far have been small and almost always needed to be packed away for practicality. Recently, an opportunity for space came up and I jumped for it!"
And so Studio Subi was born! A creative space for all to use and there’ll be workshops/classes by amazing creative teachers. Such as art, sewing, photography, jewellery, design, and more!

My favourite origami to create is the classic crane, I've made over 1000! Once I made 200 to raise money for Cancer Council of WA.

RACHEL BREWER | CROCHET BY BREWER

Crafting since a young age, trying many different crafts, Rachel was instantly captivated as soon as she was introduced to the art of crochet. Many years later, Rachel progressed to designing her own crochet patterns, with animals and creatures being a favourite theme. One of Rachel's earliest designs was a rabbit, which has evolved into a new version you can find in her collection today.

Now under her brand, Crochet By Brewer, Rachel's crochet creations are stocked in stores across Australia, and you can also find Rachel at markets across Perth, including Fun Fest Landsdale, Joondalup Artisan Market, Kingsway Markets, and more. We're excited Rachel has joined Studio Subi to teach you the art of crochet!
