We are all capable of perception through our senses and also our general social and cultural knowledge. Everyone has the tools to read and feel the artworks. A little guidance in finding within us the simple path of interpreting an artwork is helpful and satisfying.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
MONIA ALLEGRE
​
Monia is a visual artist, originally from France, where as a student, the Louvre was practically her second home. Today, Monia calls Perth home. Her artistic practice is sculpture, installation and mixed media. She has studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris and has done two internationally renowned artist residencies in The Netherlands (the Rijskakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten, and the Europees Keramiech Centrum in Den Bosch).
Monia is currently exhibiting in this season’s Sculptures By The Sea and a lecturer at Fremantle Arts Centre. She has been a lecturer at UWA for three years, teaching ‘Integrated Design: The Making’ to 2nd year architecture & landscape architecture students.

Please note that once booked, tickets are non-refundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another participant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions your workshop will be rescheduled or you will be given a 12 month credit to rebook when we reopen.
