ART DECIPHERED FOR TEENS

2 WEEK COURSE

THU 15 & FRI 16 APRIL  |  2PM-4PM  |  $70

alternative day & times this week are available on request, we just need 8 people to run this class.

We are all capable of perception through our senses and also our general social and cultural knowledge. Everyone has the tools to read and feel the artworks. A little guidance in finding within us the simple path of interpreting an artwork is helpful and satisfying.

Covered in this course:

  • Historical journey of visual art

  • Learn about key artworks that shook the audience when it was revealed

  • The power of contemporary visual art nowadays

  • Understanding of art trends

  • Be transported by the techniques that artists use to ‘manipulate’ the viewer

  • Visual tools (composition, media, colours, volumes, perspective or absence of perspective, new techniques, digital technologies and more)
