ABOUT THIS CLASS
This is an introductory class. Suits beginner students, 12yo to adults.
You will start your journey in better ballpoint illustrations by learning the foundation techniques, starting with understanding basic strokes, light and shadow, and the different surface materials.
After a short break, we will progress to Scribble Art.
You will have a masterpiece created by you to take home at the end of this class.
All material is provided.
If you love this intro class, you can book into subsequent weeks to develop your new skills.
In February 2024, we will have classes to further your skills, we will teach you:
- Line Art (hatching) and Contour Line Art.
- Dot Art (stippling)
- Neurographic Art.
Location: Our classroom is at 294-296 Hay St, Subiaco, inside the Multicultural Language Centre, look for the red front door, go through and up the stairs.
ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
GIGI NGUYEN | TRAINED ILLUSTRATOR
Gigi has natural creativity that was developed through art school. Gigi put her illustration skills away for many years and after we met recently, we got talking about relighting the fire she has for biro and pencil illustration. Gigi use to teach. So before we commence our new series at Studio Subi, we thought running a test class would be a great opportunity for Gigi to refresh on being in the classroom and for our students to provide feedback on the proposed class outline. We are exciting and look forward to adding Gigi's class to Studio Subi's regular schedule.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please note that once booked, tickets are non-rufundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another paticiapant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions your workshop will be rescheduled or you will be given a 12 month credit to rebook when we reopen.
When arriving, attending and leaving the workshop, it is your responisibility to follow all safety precautions. Upon booking, you agree that you are fully responsible for your property and physical safety during the workshop. Studio Subi and your workshop teacher hold no personal liability or responsibility for any damage, loss or theft to personal property, or any physical injuries that occur during the workshop.
