Suitable for students already with basic skills

 

Knitters - You can cast on, knit and purl comfortably and now keen to start your own project or need help with something in particular.

 

Crocheters - You're comfortable holding the hook, chain, single crochet, double crochet, now keen to start your own project or learn more stitches.

 

Then these sessions are for you! You can ask any questions related to knitting and crochet.

$40 per person, 2-hours

We have two classroom locations, one minute walk apart.

  • 294-294 Hay St, Subiaco, inside the Multicultural Language Centre (staircase), and

  • 217 Hay St, Subiaco, inside the Rhythm building (wheelchair friendly). 

We will confirm location prior to class date.

Free street parking outside our building on Sundays. Super convenient!

Here you can ask any knitting and crochet related questions. We can help beginners to advanced knitters and crocheters.

For example:

+ Seek help if you're stuck on a step in your pattern

+ Learn how to read a pattern

+ Learn how to gauge

+ Learn how to calculate for your size

+ Understand fibres

+ Seek help on a particular stitch

+ Seek help to choosing a project

+ Any knitting or crochet questions!

 

Bring your own supplies.

We'll share our knitting and crochet expertise. These sessions are casual, friendly and guided by a specialist teachers. It's like a relaxed crafting timeout with friends.

If you are new to knitting, attend our Beginners Knitting class first.

If you are new to crochet, attend our Beginners Crochet Level 1 class first.

Private or Kids classes are available on demand - get 4 friends together to have a private lesson.

Classes make a great present. Gift cards with open dates, and no expiry, are available here.

Recently joined our team, Dani has travelled to Perth from Italy via UK. Wherever she goes, she takes her knitting. Surrounded by knitting endeavours, Dani also has a YouTube channel called A Knitters Suitcase.

Recently joined our team, Coby has a passion in amigurumi and experienced to follow any crochet pattern whether it's a garment, accessory or amigurumi. Also a keen knitter, loving textures of knits. Coby is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with you.

Rachel has been crafting for as long as she can remember, but the moment she picked up a crochet hook, she was hooked. What began as curiosity with a quickly became a passion, leading her to design her own amigurumi patterns and more. 

 

Crochet By Brewer (CBB) is home to Rachel’s handmade creations, including the much-loved Crochet Friends collection. Every design is her own, and each piece is crocheted by Rachel herself, thoughtfully made, start to finish. Alongside her creations, you’ll also find DIY Crochet Kits and beautifully designed Crochet Journals, perfect for gifting or growing your own crochet skills, available online and at markets.

 

CBB is proudly a 2026 Perth Upmarket Ambassador, and you’ll find Rachel inside the Hackett Cafe area at Perth Upmarket on market days.

 

Teaching at Studio Subi since 2024, Rachel loves sharing the joy of crochet and helping others build confidence, creativity, and skills with a hook. Rachel can help you to master your crochet techniques in these Crochet More classes.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please note that once booked, tickets are non-refundable. You may however transfer your ticket to another participant. Should a workshop be cancelled due to Covid restrictions your workshop will be rescheduled or you will be given a 12 month credit to rebook when we reopen.

When arriving, attending and leaving the workshop, it is your responsibility to follow all safety precautions. Upon booking, you agree that you are fully responsible for your property and physical safety during the workshop. Studio Subi and your workshop teacher hold no personal liability or responsibility for any damage, loss or theft to personal property, or any physical injuries that occur during the workshop. Every care is taken to provide you with a safe and comfortable learning space.
