ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

CONNIE TRINH | STUDIO SUBI
The face behind Studio Subi, Connie is a lover and ambassador of all things handmade.
"Craft has always been my creative outlet, my happy moments, I could spend hours with, even preferred over sleep. I’ve always wished for a dedicated space where I could leave out all my supplies at the ready, but the spaces so far have been small and almost always needed to be packed away for practicality. Recently, an opportunity for space came up and I jumped for it!"
And so Studio Subi was born! A creative space for all to use and there’ll be workshops/classes by amazing creative teachers. Such as art, sewing, photography, jewellery, design, and more!
My favourite origami to create is the classic crane, I've easily made over 1000 several times over! I once made 200 for display in a gift shop window in Subiaco, the money raised was donated to Cancer Council of WA.

RACHEL BREWER | CROCHET BY BREWER
Crafting since a young age, trying many different crafts, Rachel was instantly captivated as soon as she was introduced to the art of crochet. Many years later, Rachel progressed to designing her own crochet patterns, with animals and creatures being a favourite theme. One of Rachel's earliest designs was a rabbit, which has evolved into a new version you can find in her collection today.
Now under her brand, Crochet By Brewer, Rachel's crochet creations are stocked in stores across Australia, and you can also find Rachel at markets across Perth, including Fun Fest Landsdale, Joondalup Artisan Market, Kingsway Markets, and more. We're excited Rachel has joined Studio Subi to teach you the art of crochet!

ANNIE BALL | CROCHET TEACHER
Newest to the Studio Subi, Annie has already taught several Beginners Crochet classes and we absolutely love her! A warm gentle soul, Annie can crochet and knit.

DAN | DREAM WEAVE & YARN
The creative mind Dream Weave & Yarn, Dan has been crocheting for nearly 10 years. Growing up in Ireland in a family of painters, artists and knitters, creativity was woven into his life from the very beginning.
Dan specialises in designing crochet wearables, from breezy Summer tops to cozy sweaters and cardigans. Dan's favourites include the classic granny hexagon cardigan and versatile C2C blankets and sweaters. Dan loves experimenting with yarn textures and hook sizes, crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that combine comfort, style, and a handmade touch.

GIGI | CROCHETED BY THE GILLS
You'll find Gigi crochets every minute she can, often immersed in her freehand creations. Specialising in amigurumi and accessories, you'll be in awe of Gigi's extensive and every growing collection of makes. A frequent at local markets and stocking at Little Seedlings Gift Store and NMP Living, we're super lucky for Gigi making time to bring her skills to teaching at Studio Subi.
